Yesterday was Helaman's GRAND birthday! The kids were SO excited that they almost acted like it was their own birthday. As soon as Haley got home from school, we met Daddy for lunch. When they saw him, they went running up to him yelling, "Happy Birthday, Daddy!!" except Ammon's sounded more like, "Happy Borfday, Daddy!" We then went home and the kids got to place balloons wherever they wanted in the house ... boy were they in random places.But when Daddy got home, that's when the party started. The kids hid (b/c that's what you do on birthdays) and surprised him. The kids then gave him his lovely birthday hat (it really looked like a dunce hat, but the kids loved it), we sang, and ate some yummy brownies. The reason for brownies is b/c Helaman doesn't like birthday cake, but does like a good homemade mint brownie.
His birthday present is a brand new bike, but Ammon spilt the beans on that one several days ago. Helaman now knows who to go to for secrets!
