First Day of School Excitement

Yesterday was Haley's first day of First Grade (.. YES FIRST GRADE ..) and she was quite excited about it with the exception of eating lunch at school rather than home. For her first day of school, they had pizza for lunch. Boy do I remember pizza day .... those yummy square pieces. So we had her give it a try on her first day and if she didn't like it, she could bring a lunchbox all of the other days.

As we (Ammon & I) go to drop her off, we were both sad to watch her go. (Me because she getting big so fast and Ammon because he's losing his best friend during the day.) So, I was kind of hoping for her to look back and wave or something, but nope, she just went right on in so happy to start a new part of her life. I was so proud of her for taking it so well, but then it was off to entertain Ammon through running errands and doing chores around the house. (Isn't that what younger kids do when the others go off to school??)

When she got home, Ammon was so excited to see her and she was SO excited to tell us all about her day. Her favorite part was learning that she will be going to Computer Class this year and that she had 2 P.E.s. As far as the lunch goes, she said that the pizza sauce was too "spicy" for her (yet she can down salsa like no other), but she ate it along with the other things on her tray. All in all, it was a good first day of school.

Then .....
the Tooth Fairy got to come last night to Haley's room because she lost another tooth (#3). She was so excited at her eventful day!!
