In the fall, my mom had found a heavy duty plastic sled at a garage sale and my dad delivered it to the kids right away to go sledding in the winter. So, every day for the next few weeks, Ammon kept asking if we could go in the snow to play, yet there wasn't ever any snow. So, yesterday when we finally had snow, the kids woke up and were so excited to use the sled that's been sitting in the garage for that perfect snow day.
Before the wintery mix started to come through, we went outside in our 2 inches of snow and the kids had a blast dragging each other around the yard while I started shoveling the driveway (which I have to say you couldn't even tell a few hours later when the real snow fell down). When the kids started to get cold, I took them over to our little hill in the backyard and let them go down the hill a few times before enjoying some fabulous Mexican Hot Chocolate.
We'll have to update this story because last night, it kept snowing and snowing AND SNOWING & made a lovely story for Helaman's travel into work this morning.
Enjoy the SNOW DAY!!
