A few evenings ago, we were all sitting around laughing and just having fun family time when the conversation went as follows:
Haley says, "Oh Yeah! I forgot to tell you guys about something!"
Mom: "What is it?"
Haley: "Well, last night something really weird happened."
Dad: "Like what?"
Haley: "Well, all last night I realized that I was sleeping, but my eyes didn't seem to close."
(imagine the re-enacted motions that go with this. Very girly dramatic!)
"I was laying there all night and they just wouldn't close, but I did sleep last night."
"That's why my eyes are hurting right now. It's because I forgot to close my eyes last night when I was sleeping."
Dad: "Wow, Haley! That's interesting!"
Mom: "Wow! Really, Haley??!"
Dad: "Isn't that like Captain Ron?"
Then, I couldn't help but burst out laughing at the thought of me going to check up on our daughter in the middle of the night just to find her laying there sleeping with her eyes wide open.
Well, at least I thought it was funny! :)
