During Thanksgiving, we spent 10 days in Maryland visiting with Helaman's sister, Korina & her husband. While there, we traveled to Washington DC and hit the sites. Helaman really wanted his picture taken in front of the White House.
This was Haley's #1 place that she wanted to visit because she had learned about it in school and was VERY excited to get to share her travels with them when she returned.
On Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, we had reservations to go on a tour of the Capitol Building. The inside was beautiful and we all really enjoyed getting that opportunity.
Besides the White House and Capitol Building, we saw the Washington Monument and went to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. That is a recommendation for anyone planning on going sometime in the future. We all enjoyed the vacation and especially enjoyed the company of family. We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to travel to the East Coast to spend Thanksgiving and to see the beautiful scenery that is present. It was a fantastic trip!!
