Helaman and I had found some amazingly priced tickets to go to Utah in the fall. We'd made sure that we scheduled this weekend getaway trip with "plenty" of time following Ammon's surgery. Usually we don't get sleep for about 2 weeks following his surgeries and then everything is fine. Well, not this time. Ammon's doctor told us that we could definitely go on the trip and that everything should be fine. He was right! From the time we left until the time we got home, everything was just fine.
So, off we went to Utah 1 1/2 weeks ago for what we wanted to be a weekend of relaxing, but also some hiking, etc. Well, as you see in the picture, it was incredibly cold and it ended up snowing 3-4 inches on one of the days we were there. Eventhough we were a bit disappointed, it was a huge blessing in disguise because I slept SO much. I really didn't realize exactly how exhausted and tired I really was until I slept until I wasn't tired. That ended up being about 12 hours through the night with little naps during the day. I have to say that I never get that kind of sleep at home! It was a great trip to get to break away from the crazy life back at home.
Then we got home!
You've read what happened ... BACK TO THE REAL WORLD!
PS. THANKS WILLIAMS FAMILY!!! IT WAS FUN!!
